On June 12, 2016, a man walked into an Orlando nightclub, opened fire, and killed 49 people.

Many questions from that night remain. Namely: Why? Why them? Why that night? The question of "who," however — that's something we know. We know who the shooter was, and we know who the victims are.

A new video hopes to shine a light on stories of the victims of the Pulse nightclub massacre, enlisting the help of 49 celebrities, including Lady Gaga, Demi Lovato, Laverne Cox, Chris Pine, and others.

Produced by the Human Rights Campaign and Ryan Murphy ("Glee," "American Horror Story"), the 18-minute film aims to keep the memories alive of those lost and ensure they did not die in vain.

"For too long, a toxic combination of anti-LGBTQ hate and easy access to guns has put LGBTQ people at disproportionate risk of violence and murder," reads the video's description. "It's on all of us to keep their memories alive, and to ensure part of their legacy becomes meaningful action to end hate violence."
