Amy Schumer broadcast live as she made comedy history in NYC this week.

She's truly a history-making woman.

"I grew up here," Amy Schumer says, an excited smile spread across her face.

It was the last thing that came out of her mouth before climbing the steps onto the iconic stage at NYC's Madison Square Garden on June 23, 2016.

The moment was one that Schumer — a native New Yorker — had been looking forward to for quite some time.

Schumer just became the first female comic to headline Madison Square Garden.

That's right — before Thursday, no other female comedian had headlined a performance in what's arguably one of the most famous sports and entertainment venues in the world.

To make the moment even sweeter, Schumer made sure to capture the build up on video for all of her fans to see.

Using Facebook's live-video tool, Schumer recorded her final moments backstage before stepping on stage — the hugs, the nervous jitters, and the one-liners she cracked with her friends.

History was in the making, right on our newsfeeds. And it epitomized why so many fans adore her.

Anyone who's followed Schumer's career understands that blazing trails for women is exactly what Schumer's all about.

Her critically acclaimed, hilarious, and oftentimes political series, "Inside Amy Schumer," is among a very small handful of female-led shows on Comedy Central.

Schumer wrote and starred in one of the biggest blockbusters of 2015 (seriously, if you haven't seen "Trainwreck" — and are over 18 years old — you're missing out).

And she's been an outspoke advocate for body positivity in recent years, tweeting back in April, "We are done with these unnecessary labels, which seem to be reserved for women," in regards to potentially divisive terms, like "plus-size."

Schumer's history-making night at MSG is just another tally in the win column for a badass woman who's changing Hollywood with every joke she cracks.

Keep breaking down barriers, Amy — we've got plenty more to go.
