FreeRice.com has donated over 98 BILLION grains of rice since their start in 2007. Just by teaching people.

But you're (not) playin' (games on FreeRice.com).
FreeRice.com has two goals.
1. Provide education to everyone for free.
2. Help end world hunger by providing rice to hungry people for free.
Not bad goals.
Lofty though. So, how are you gonna do that, FreeRice?
1. By being THE brain teaser (and quizmaster) for basically anyone.
2. By donating rice every time ANYONE gets an answer right.
Every time you get a correct answer on one of their quizzes, FreeRice.com donates 10 grains of rice to people who are hungry. Boom. Simple.
Played out.
One correct answer = 10 grains of rice donated through the very legit United Nations World Food Programme.
I remember playing their vocab quiz game when Free Rice first started in 2007. My sister and I would go back and forth, learning big words and trying to feed the most people.
Learn new words, give people rice, what's not to love?
Well now I love it even more.
Free Rice has grown from just being vocab quizzes in its early years.
Now you can learn such things as...
— Multiplication tables
Images via FreeRice.com.
— SAT prep (!)
OMG that question is so difficult. *having bad flashbacks*
— French vocab
And more.
This is the definition of win-win. You help yourself by learning and having fun, and you help others who need it.
FreeRice.com is here, y'all. Get to playing.
